Leisa C. Russell, CPA
Leisa C. Russell, CPA, serves as the Chief Financial Officer of The Morton and Spapperi Family Foundation. She is also the President of Russell Consulting, LLC, which she established in 2006. She has advised numerous publicly held, private and not-for-profit health care and other organizations. Accounting and tax services have been provided for small businesses, trusts, private and public foundations, LLCs, not-for-profit organizations, and partnerships.
Ms. Russell has over 25 years of extensive CFO and consulting experience. Her career includes successful executive achievement in financial functions and strategic planning, extensive understanding of system-wide project planning and implementation, and significant attention to improvement of quality and market position. Prior to establishing Russell Consulting, LLC, Ms. Russell served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Washington Hospital Center and as audit manager at the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand where she managed financial audits ranging in scope from small to medium sized owner-managed companies to international publicly held companies.
Ms. Russell holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has also volunteered with many community organizations including Severn School, Chesapeake Academy, First Presbyterian Church and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
